Beetroot

The Farmers' Market this morning and this stall have carrots and beetroot of different colours. I liked this one with the darker variety in focus and the focus becoming softer and becoming blurred for the lightest variety. LARGE is OK
Beetroot is considered something of a wonder food. It is a cure for hangovers; Nature's Viagra (apparently it has beed used as an aphrodisiac since the Roman times); it has been used to bind wounds and it can be used to make dye as well as to eat/drink/preserve.
We wandered up the high street and listened to the buskers; a group called Three Penny Bit were attracting a crowd and great fun. On the the Discovery Centre to see the International Garden Photographer of the Year exhibition; it is well worth a visit if you are in the area.
