Abyssinia

The empty bothy beside the Allt Uaine in Glen Kinglass is known as Abyssinia.

The story goes it was named by a big game hunter who bought the cottage on his return from what was then Abyssinia.

Another tale suggests it's haunted by an old lady who disturbs people sleeping in the loft by constantly calling on her hens throughout the night.

The steep climb behind the bothy rises to the north ridge of Beinn Charranach
