Remnants of the Rain

The rain is history.....hoorah! 

I was wandering in the yard this morning and saw there were signs still left from the rain. My gopher plants had perfect drops of rain snuggled into their buds and on their leaves. The way the light hit some of them, reminded me of the mercury we used to play with as kids. (that's right, we did and we survived!)

I think these beauties will be blooming before long, which means the bees will be buzzing and I will be happily snapping away!

I AM grateful for the rain and the little drops that are left behind.
