Snow Capped Mountains
After a dull and overcast start, the sun did get out this afternoon along with the wind.
An odd day in as much as once cleaning this morning was done I had arranged to meet a friend who has returned from England temporarily to pack up their belongings as their bungalow has been sold. She had brought me a few things from England, so I expect wanted them out of the way!
I received a call to say that she was expecting a visit from some other friends, one of our quiz and coffee ladies. So I went down to meet them as well which was tinged with joy and sadness.
She has Cancer, which has returned from a good number of years ago and unfortunately nothing can be done for her. She has been in England for the last 12 months receiving treatment and is now back for four weeks before another visit to the Specialist. Although sad it was lovely to see them both, and she actually does not look ill, which I think is the norm with most of these cases.
Afterwards I needed a walk so headed off to the Poniente beach - it was lovely to take in the scene - the sun shining with snow on the mountains.
Times like this make you count your blessings.
