Don't Contribute To Entropy
The results of my ultra-sound scan came back today. Everything pretty sound. Reference was made to my abnormally thick gall bladder, just as it was two years ago when I had my previous ultra-sound scan. The blood test I had prior to the ultra-sound scan revealed too much cholesterol and not enough protein or vitamin E in my diet. The cholesterol is probably a result of eating too much processed cheese, a favourite snack of mine. So, I'll eat less cheese and take fish oil tablets every day. Simple. Hopefully, my system will be running efficiently again.
Perhaps the main reason I love Japan so much is that it runs at the peak of efficiency in pretty much everything. This ultra-sound scan is a perfect example. Kazuko booked the scan yesterday afternoon, I had the scan that evening. The results came back this afternoon and the price of the scan was about the price of a cheap meal out for two. The Japanese rail service, of course, is the epitome of efficiency.
I aspire to that kind of efficiency in my life. Eradicate things which are bad for you, endeavour only to do things which are good for you. Simple.
I've already included one quote in the title to today's blip. Anyone know who has, "Don't contribute to entropy," as a maxim?
Here is the quote that will go in my journal today, also on the theme of efficiency.
"If I had six hours to cut down a tree, I would spend the first four hours sharpening the axe." (Abraham Lincoln)
