Early Smartphone?

I had no idea how historic this image would be when I took it over nine years ago.  It's fun, in part because it's clearly at the Place d'Italie Metro station, during our first sojourn in the nearby building on the Rue des Peupliers where we've stayed every year since--three years on the 3rd floor, and then directly above on the 4th floor, with the same view.
