To crop or not to crop

A sparrow in a pohutakawa tree was a surprise especially as it was ripping into the flower. I had never seen that before.

Now how much to crop? I have gone with a frame of branch because I like the light behind it but is that a distraction? I have added the original and a closer crop. What do you reckon?
