Landscape with Figures
Dashed down to The Caves this morning. I had a blip all planned out since yesterday, and wouldn't you know it, I ended up using a different concept anyway. That seems to be happening quite a bit lately. Can't complain though, kinda spoilt for choice these days.
It has made a massive difference to me since I purchased Lightroom 4 and the Nic Software bundle. Predominantly because of the ability these programs give me in terms of fine-tuning. I am not a great fan of tricks and over-processing, preferring to achieve the best exposure in camera and then fine-tuning the image. There are exceptions though, and some of the work here on blipfoto, processed with Photoshop CS, is quite wonderful.
Having said that, things could change once I get my iPhone for Father's Day next week. I have been researching iPhonography online and some of the images beggar belief. Such wonderful creative photography. Lots of over-apped (just learned this new descriptive term) images from more inexperienced photogs (another new noun). There are a lot of prominent photographers using the iPhone to complete bodies of work that are immensely impressive. And I was someone who has had a large amount of scepticism relating to mobile photography.
The image above just appeared in my Lr library, it wasn't planned, but it had something that I felt a connection to. The landscape was becoming quite crowded actually :)) It is a nice landscape/seascape but it is the diminutiveness of the figures alongside the headland that I felt lifted it into something special - for me, at least.
