The Odd Couple

This cygnet is a lone fellow - he spends most of his day in the Leg of Mutton Pond in Bushy Park. However, as happened this morning, the "Park Bully" comes down from the Heron Pond at least once a day and flushes him out, he then retreats into the bracken until the coast is clear. Whether it is a good thing or bad I'm not sure, but he is a really friendly bird, now happy to eat swan pellets from my hand. Here I was coaxing him back to the pond as the Bully had flown off. He seems to have found a friend!
