Now, as I see it......

Winter draws on

Winter came to the village with a vengeance this morning as a snow storm hit. At least two centimetres of snow fell between 9.00am and 10.30am as temperatures plummeted to -0.6C (30.9F) although with the wind chill factor it felt more like -0.8C (30.5F). Villagers were quick to comment, being overheard saying things like "It'll be chaos on the roads", "I'm glad I'm not going out in that", and "No snowball fights, children". When asked for her view, the lady in the paper shop said "I like snow, but I'm always glad when it's gone". In fact, she got her wish as two hours later it had, indeed, all gone.

In other news, one of my ex-colleagues who moved to Canada was noted on Facebook as saying her car failed to start after being left outside in a temperature of -45 (not sure if that was C or F but frankly, at that level they are quite similar) and she had to wait 15 minutes for the breakdown service to come and get her going again. 15 minutes? Some people don't know they're born.

Thanks for all the comments, stars and hearts on my Blip yesterday which elevated it to Page 2 of Popular!
