Lilayi...

Took Molly to see the three orphaned elephants at Lilayi this morning!  You can see them for a couple of hours each day being fed!  They were not so playful today, maybe because it was not very hot!  However, this little guy loved swinging his trunk around!

Its so good that this facility is available for these orphans most of whom have lost their mothers due to poaching!  One of the small elephants has no tail as it was bitten off by a crocodile as he was swimming from Mozambique into Zambia.  It became infected and the rangers worked with him day and night and now he is fighting fit!  The elephants are relocated into Kafue national park as soon as they are weaned!
