Coming in

Two Variable Oystercatchers coming in to land. Great colours with their red beaks, eyes and legs against the black. A close relative of the Pied oystercatcher but bigger.

Glorious day here, sunny and mild and generally just lovely. Wonderful for lifting spirits.

but couldn't put another tern up today - I'm addicted to them, could watch them for hours and they are particularly active in spring - sometimes I forget to take photos I'm too busy watching all the action!
