Light dusting of snow....

....in Bourton this morning. Not great light so hard to find a view to show you the snow. This is near the Motor Museum and features the mushroom shaped Staddle stones. Four of these stones would have been used to support a grain barn. The mice could run up the base of the "mushroom" but couldn't run under the top but and so could not get to the grain. There are slightly different shapes to these throughout Britain. These mushroom shaped ones feature decoratively now all over the Cotswolds.
