The Major Oak

A grand day out to Sherwood Forest. We set off at 7 and arrived after a rather difficult journey about 10.
Tom & Sophie, Andrew and Katie had a forest lodge for the week, very nice with a hot tub!
We walked to that wonderful tree where Robin Hood used to hide from the baddies.
I had some Ladybird books when I was a child and they made a great impression on me. Some people apparently don't believe in Robin Hood! That's like not believing in dragons! Ridiculous!
We had a meal together and I gave George his bath, but he got a bit grumpy after that and wouldn't sleep. We shared one of my chocolate roulades before setting off on the long journey home.
