Chaffinch

Well the snow didn't materialise, what a disappointment that was.  There was a sleety shower this afternoon for about five minutes and that was it.  There is snow on the fells though.  

This little chaffinch was mopping up the black sunflower seeds which I accidentally on purpose left on the table after filling the feeders.

Misty is happy as her best friend who she hasn't seen for a couple of months has come to stay for a week :)   We had a walk along the marsh just before it got dark and got there just in time to capture the amazing sky, see extras. 

On this morning's walk on the marsh, I was very surprised to see sheep after sheep escaping from their field through a gap by the gate, must have been at least twenty of them.  They then plodded up the road before eventually turning into somebody's driveway which led into a paddock.  Think they were in their element.  I told the farmer's wife who had also spotted them but couldn't do anything about it until her husband got back.
