Closer

Happy morning on the allotment in the sunshine. The little robin is getting closer to me and the aim of having it eat from my hand more of a possibility! As I was weeding after doing the girls my fellow allotmenteer appeared and after exchanging HNY said " I'll put the kettle on!" - music to my ears! So we chatted over a cup of tea and inspected our plots. All I can say is his leeks are a lot bigger than mine - and he gave them to  me  as seedlings! Mine were covered by an enormous courgette plant all summer in my defense! By the time we had finished he had no time left to paint his shed as intended and he left without doing anything but giving me good company!
I carried on weeding and discovered the Love-In-A-Mist flower bud in the extra - such hardy little seedlings from last summers flowers. Wonder if it will withstand the incoming chilly weather. I don't think there will be much more weeding done over the next few days - but I have got some special gourmet  robin blend seed for my little friend!
