The end in sight!

(Back blip)
Today we were taken for a hours ride to where we were able to start the trail again. There is currently a dispute between the trail organisers and the anglers who fish locally as this is the best brown trout fishing in NZ and possibly the world and the anglers do not want all and sundry being able to access that part of the river.
We went first to The Mavora Lakes which are beautiful and the driver took us back to the trail. He took us an extra couple of kms as he felt sorry for us after the previous day! We were glad he had, as it was still over 45 kms and we had to catch the Earnslaw steam boat back to Queenstown at 4.45pm . We made it with an hour to spare but it would have been very pressured otherwise. The weather was slightly less windy but it rained as well so not the best conditions again. I was so happy to see the lake as we then knew that the end was in sight!
The extra is at the Walter Peak farm where there is a cafe and bar and where we caught the boat back to Queenstown. By then the weather had improved!
