Galloping neighborhood changes

2 days I ago I said I’d blip the new construction at that site with the dishwashers. (61 of them)   Well, there were no cars or trucks right in front this afternoon so here you go.  Pretty dull photo.  Compared to some other new buildings I do think this fake brick is quite ugly :-)   HERE is the one right next to it on the right..the first apodment to be built in this neighborhood —you can read about it on the blip  Then HERE are the nice little single family houses this displaced with a description of the new one.(this blip was EXACTLY 2 years prior to the dishwasher blip)  HERE is a shot of it under construction. They have since also built a new-(quite nice looking I think. This photo doesn't show the landscaping and paths at the entry.) building to the left.(1st extra)    But in between is another house.   Today a digger was digging up the sidewalk.( 2nd extra)  and the 3rd extra is the view down the street from the corner of the elementary school showing the other little holdout house on the corner of this ordinary residential street.    There are 2 constructions going on across the street.  This is just one block.   It’s such a huge change in a short amount of time…from a sweet neighborhood to a corridor of big apartment buildings.  For the first time 2 days ago we got a notice in the mail addressed to us about responding to a design review for another project on a nearby street.   But the time allowed was only one day!     Parking not only for residents but for construction workers is a big problem. I guess we'll get used to the changes.
Yesterday I walked though the old neighborhood where we used to live and it was so lovely with all the houses intact and cared for.    Sigh.

'Confusing and lots of words, I know ... but there's one story.  Will blip one more time when it's all complete...perhaps there will be some nice landscaping? ? and a new sidewalk and street.
