stocked up

We went to fetch our meat this afternoon. Hanging weight 343.50 lb beefalo. This should last about 12 to 18 months, but we shall be down to just ground meat by the end of that time! This is a whole side. It completely fills this freezer, more or less. 
Beefalo is a cross between buffalo (or more correctly American bison) and beef cattle. It makes very  good eating!

A much warmer day, in fact I think it was about 62 this afternoon but tomorrow's high is forecast to be 31F. Talk about up and down.
