Melted....
....this is the same general area where the ice fishermen were walking all over the ice just 2 days ago, except that this is one of the narrower river entrances to the Lake, and they were actually out to the right on a bigger part of the harbor. I think this proves my point that the ice wasn't very thick if it could all disappear in just 2 days! We came back over here because there were so many things hanging off/growing out of this metal wall along the water that I thought they'd make for an interesting picture. A cloudy, dreary, cold day! I talked to my sister-in-law on skype this morning--they live further northwest from us, about 5 hours away--she said it's been snowing off & on for almost 24 hours, that the snow is thigh high, & that even the guy they hired to plow their driveway had a hard time getting up the hill toward their house because the snow was so deep. I'm hoping the snow is moving WEST, not East--it's been heavenly to be snow-free for awhile! :))
