One of These Days

It started badly with little sleep because of the noise of the wind last night.  Then the weather veered from the promised gales which made me cancel a visit to a friend to sunshine and blue skies.  Very frustrating.

However all that paled into insignificance when I checked over my photobook that I'd finished yesterday - all 80 pages of it - and discovered I had somehow made it the wrong size!  It was Extra Large instead of just Large and so the voucher I'd pre-purchased for it wouldn't cover the full cost.

I phoned the company to ask how to change the size, only to discover that it wasn't possible because I'd used their online software instead of the version you can download to your own computer.  There was nothing for it but to start all over again.

However, thinking it over, I decided that an easier way to replicate the album was to photograph all the pages and then just follow the same sequence and text inserts.  It's sort of working, although the photos are not fitting the pages in quite the same way, but I'm getting there.  Never made this mistake before (and I've compiled loads of books), so I'm convinced the programme took me to the larger size by default and I just didn't notice.  That's my excuse, anyway:-)

The blip shows the front cover as photographed from my computer screen!  The Extra shows the sort of mixed up weather we had today - it was actually snowing minutes before I took this shot!
