This is Yella

This is Yella- a native Kea, details here  He has been brought to us with lead poisoning. We had Andrew last year who had a successful treatment and release. Keas are incredibly intelligent birds...I do love them. We try and keep a step ahead of him by adding toys, hiding food so our time with him will be interesting. Keas get into trouble "tasting" lead nails on roofs, old water pipes made of lead etc etc.
