Bad Timing and Righteous Rewards

Me, FilmBlipper and one of my sons set out this afternoon to wander about Dunmore House with a couple of cameras for an hour or two to get some exercise and fresh air.

'Do you think we will need coats?'

'Nah....it's positively balmy'

Pretty poor timing on our part as the heavens opened at the point we were farthest from the car, we tried sheltering in Dunmore House for a bit but a house with no roof is a poor choice in a rain storm. So by the time we got back to the car we were drenched and somewhat splattered in mud from passing cars. Still we did feel rather self-righteous as we had braved the elements in the pursuit of a healthier lifestyle....we got our just rewards with a welcome hot shower followed by a trip to Wagamama for a healthy tea (which helped top up our reservoir of self-righteousness a bit more).
