Surprise gift.

From the good lady.

What is it? Well it is an old railway poster of the castle in St Andrews (my old home town!) that has been living behind the wardrobe for decades (the poster, not the town, that would just be weird). The good old spud has had it framed after she found it during a bit of a clear up. Cleverly the wood matches the furniture.

I'm rather pleased, although sadly there is no railway anymore (this may come as a surprise to those of you who play 'Tiger Woods' golf games on the play station, the 'Railway Hole' is still haunted by the occasional whistle of a mid west American express. They didn't think it through).

Any hoo, if you have never been to St A I heartily recommend it for a wee break. Great beaches, cliffs, castle, cathedral, a big old tower you can climb up, more history than you can rub over your body in a month, universities, museums, golf  - the most famous course in the world which you can walk around on Sundays......loads to do and see. But I am biased (I love the place).
