Ghostbuster?

After lunch, TM announced he was going out to get rid of the grey ghost. 
Eh?

Apparently it means a dead branch which drops but gets stuck in the tree. Ours was dangling rather close to the boundary, and threatening to fall on some unsuspecting passer-by.

I went to hold the ladder, while he attacked it with a rake. It took a bit of tugging but eventually it came out.

That was about the most exciting thing that happened today!
