Little egret!

The Castle field in the village is always partially flooded in winter and I was cutting through to get home when I spotted a little egret at the far end. I know that they're no longer a rare sight in this country but I've only ever seen one in the village before and that was a couple of years ago.

I had the wrong camera with me so went home and got my dslr and put the wellies on to try to get a shot. I waited a while as it had it's back to me but as it turned it must have spotted me as I got this one shot before it flew away.
