Abbot's Fish House, Meare

Went for a walk at Shapwick Nature Reserve this afternoon and stopped on the way at the Abbot's Fish House, which once played an important part in the life of Glastonbury Abbey. Apparently the monks fished here from as early as 670AD. Large parts of the area were once under water before it was drained.
