What a Surprise!

I was clicking away, the birdfeeders were swaying
from bird activity and I thought, "nothing good at
the moment."

Then home I went, downloaded my photos and
there was the phantom, hairy woodpecker trying
to escape from my sights.  I was so surprised!!  It
was hanging behind the swaying feeders.
That is definitely a sunflower seed in its beak.
Do you think it is a male or female?
