A welcome distraction

A boring  cleaning, tidying sorting sort of day. I caught the cat staring intently out of the window at something in the garden and saw this little blackbird, in turn, staring intently at the hedge. Not sure what it was after but I was pretty sure what the cat wanted to do. So, not wanting that to happen, I waited until the blackbird had gone on its way before (reluctantly!) resuming the chores.
