Glasgow Adventures...
Ewan and I decided to head into Glasgow for a few hours whilst his sister and mum went to a craft fair.
We got the train in and then had a wee mess about the city centre getting some visiting in, hearing about the horrors of the car sales industry then headed on the 'underground train' over to Kelvingrove.
Ewan gets to see some dinosaurs and stuffed giraffes and I got to see Dali's Christ of Sait John on the Cross which recently came back to the museum which I've been wanting to see for a wee while. Very impressive painting and very interesting reading about it's restoration.
Interesting fact about the painting... It was bought by Glasgow Museums for £8200 in the 1950s which was considered expensive for the time and actually caused a lot of protest. The Spanish government is said to have offered £80 million for it but was turned down.
