Mixing crew

The cafe's been closed for a fortnight so the  fridges were bare when we went in to prep some dishes for tomorrow. Just as well only two of school group put in an appearance and they were the keenest ones. Elenor invited them to join her in making a cake and I took the photo as they all bent over the task. Moments later there shouts of dismay/delight as the electric mixer spattered them with batter.
The recipe they were following was for Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake, an old favourite which substitutes mayo for  eggs and since we have a bucket  tub of the stuff  it's a good  one to demonstrate our Waste Not, Want Not credo.
