Back to school

Today our Christmas ended with D going back to School (University then) and playgroup starting up this morning.  It was strangely comforting to be back in the 'normal' routine, although last night we were sad to say goodbye to four weeks together as a family, all day, everyday.  

So this is a cheat (yet again - I know!).  It's from yesterday, because there are so many lovely pictures.  Little R was wrapped up all lovely and toasty in his outdoor suit, quite frankly I'm rather jealous as it is just so toasty and warm.  As well as a hat knitted by granny.  

As we drove into town today, we passed the gypsies at the bottom of the road and wondered out loud if the horses were exercised.  Lo and behold just as I reached home with a tired (and vocal) toddler, we passed the horses pulling a couple of traps, looking quite happy with life, we stopped to watch them go by and it was enough to distract a toddler from his tiredness.  

A quiet, but rather nice day.
