2nd Sat Strollers

Airdrie raindrops ;-)

I went to High School in Airdrie - I know, it probably explains a lot ;-)

... and the other week, when we were over in Glasgow, I picked up the pictured 2006 collection of poems from my High School town!

Here's one from within:

Raindrop

Raindrop, raindrop trickling down the window pane,
It's funny how quickly your life begins and ends.
Spitting from the clouds like a missile with wings,
To splatter against the glass and start spiralling again.

And as that raindrop starts falling,
A lonesome soul is calling.
A drop from the sky, a drop from the eye,
It's funny how quickly its lifetime goes by.

Raindrop, raindrop lost in your own world,
Of circling groups of delicate swirls.
Fading away fast, before you've even begun,
Hiding beneath the stars, escaping from the sun.

And as that raindrop starts falling,
A lonesome soul is calling.
A drop from the sky, a drop from the eye,
It's funny how quickly its lifetime goes by.
