Marjorie's ramblings

Testing the limits

First of all, I want to thank everyone who gave stars and hearts to my blip yesterday and pushed it onto the second Popular page.

Today started with a cold house and the central heating boiler not playing ball. The lovely Stewart came promptly and said he thinks that last night's wild winds had sent too many fumes back into the boiler and made it cut out. We are warm again and I now know how to restart the boiler.

I like to see the limits for any lens. Today I had the 35mm on my little Sony when I had a brief walk at lunchtime. (I called for my friend, Zoe, but she was not in, so I was on my own!)  I am very impressed with this Zeiss lens for general purposes. Today I am pleasantly surprised at how well it coped with a lovely patch of moss (thanksHarry) on a dry stone wall.

The other Marjorie came this afternoon so the chat was stimulating and wide ranging.

Just preparing to settle down to watch University Challenge and sad that Only Connect has moved to Fridays. We will watch Silent Witness, although I find it so far removed from the reality of the Forensic Service to be farcical.
