ALONG THE DIEMEL

In the afternoon Piet Hein and I walked along the river Diemel. We drove to Deissel, and started our walk there. The weather just a tiny bit lighter than yesterday, and guess what, when we had walked for some minutes the sun appeared between the light grey clouds.
The Diemel meandered between the fields, and we had nice views upon the Hölleberg and the Deisselberg, on which we walk so often.
A group of women and children walked the path, when we stood along the Diemel, listening to the stream. At some point we found them again, they stood near a Christmas tree, it was full of baubles and stars, and they picked them from the branches.
They told us that they do this each year, at the Advent bring the decorations and after Driekoningen, take them away. Only one year, they said, the baubles had gone. We were invited to sing with them a song, and a girl choose the Oh Tannenbaum song.
Then we left them behind and walked the old Railway track, till we reached Trendelburg, We thought it wise to go the same way back, and to our surprise we found the group still near the tree, having lots of fun.

I have to give more hearts for the silly pictures. A delight to see them again. To: carolinav, Tommie2, AmandaT2013, Happycat, and johnsmiley1321.

And I will tag my photo of today for the Derelict Sunday Challenge, huge thanks to serpentine for hosting.
