Hungry singers wait for their evening meal
Here we are, 30 odd singers outside the trattoria in Giarole where we dined most evenings, eating breadsticks. I see I am being photographed from the far end of the table. You may ask why many of the yellow plastic cups are lying down, a position that makes that fairly useless for holding wine. You may ask away. All I will say is that they didn't stay like that for long.
About an hour after this photograph was taken, the mosquitos arrived, as they did each night. It is the price you pay for being in a region of rice fields in August.
