Sunshine and Showers

It's been that sort of day. I needed my sunglasses on while driving up to the loch this morning. Conditions weren't too bad for the first circuit but then the wind started gusting, the sky darkened and the rain started to fall quite heavily. Choices, choices .... continue walking and get soaked or turn back to the car ..... you're right I turned back!

Fortunately I had photographed this female goosander at the start of my walk. I think they often seek sanctuary on the loch when the weather conditions are excessively wet and windy. I spotted two herons flying across the loch but they landed on the island .... too far away for my wee camera.
