Always look up, you never know what you'll see...

Wandering round town this afternoon and I thought I'd have a look at St Mary's church in search of a blip. Cue photos trying to be arty with the sun creeping over the roof, stained glass windows etc.

Then I looked up at the tower and saw this grotesque peering down on me. Not quite what I was expecting as I had no idea it was there, along with its friends on the other 3 corners.

A gargoyle is a grotesque that acts as a waterspout -thank you QI!
