Blossom and bloom

This evening I went to the JW3 in Finchley to see a screening of 'The Haunting'. Made by Robert Wise between 'West Side Story' and 'The Sound of Music' it is an intensely psychological black and white horror movie.

The screening was followed by a Q&A with the actor Clare Bloom. Bright and sparky at the age of 85 she engaged us all and to my joy allowed me to photograph her afterwards (I hadn't planned it). 

I took this picture earlier today using my own light to make nature look great on a bad day. Tonight I didn't need to add my own light to make Claire glow. She did that on her own.
