Birthday Boy

Yay it's A's birthday today! My little man is now officially 3 years old. I have spent most of the day reminiscing about that day 3 years ago...the events leading up to it....and the events afterwards (who could forget them?!)

We've had another fantastic day celebrating. We had a lazy morning so A could open his presents from us. The Go Jetters Jet Pad and the Playmobil Bus were both a huge hit. He and P spent ages playing with them and we nearly had a meltdown when I said it was time to get dressed so we could go out.

We met up with cousin N at a nearby National Trust property. It's changed a lot since I last visited over 10 years ago. There's now a huge outdoor adventure play area, a small train ride, an indoor play area not to mention all the wonderful gardens, maze, lakes and wooded trails to follow. We all had a blast and luckily the weather was mild and stayed dry. We forgot to take A's pushchair but he did brilliantly walking round. He kept up with the girls and even gave them a run for their money shouting "come on everyone follow me!" as he went hurtling into the formal gardens. We walked over 8000 steps and my feet were getting tired let alone his little legs.
