Young female chaffinch

A back-blip and even a rather late one ! Yesterday I was so busy cooking and trying to do the 1day12 pics challenge at the same time, that I never thought about posting a Blip. We had the neighbourhood New Year's meet-up last night and that's what I was cooking for (salmon mousse, apple pie and the caramelised nuts). And then the meet-up was really nice and went on long past midnight so I ended up in bed without posting. Yesterday we had the first snow and black ice, birds were frantically looking for food. This little chaffinch (I'm guessing a young female) came really close to our garden doors.
