'Fifty Shades of Brown'

What a grey day, a flat sky with no cloud definition...
We had a good walk around Eastbourne Harbour....the housing development there is ridiculous..originally was going to be 150 houses..now there are thousands, running along the Coast to Pevensey. The Martello Tower was one of many built during 19th century. Small defensive forts built along the South and East coast from the time of the French Revolutionary Wars onwards. Most were coastal forts.
I remember when this whole area was shingle and wild flowers....little patches of growth still remaining. There were so many Sparrows flying around...blending into the 'Fifty Shades of Brown' No horizon line between the sea and sky...still beautiful.
