Keep Calm And Eat Meatballs
After a skiing rest day yesterday, the Tour de Ski resumed today, this time from Toblach, Italy. It was the freestyle race, individual starts, instead of the mass start, 10km for the men and 5km for the women. Not quite as exciting as the mass start, but we still enjoyed watching both races this morning.
Once they were over I did some racing myself - I raced into Reading and finally put my head down to look for some new clothes in the January sale. Not something I relish!
I don't go into Reading very often, which is silly considering it's 5 minutes away by train! So I didn't know that there are street-food stalls set up in an older part of the town on a Friday. There was even a Scandi-food stall with meatballs! Too bad about the Finnish flags instead of Swedish flags! It was past 2pm and some of the stalls, including this one were already cleaning up. The longest line was outside the Jamaican food stall so I decided it must be popular and I would indulge in a Jerk Chicken Wrap. And very good it was too! Even if I had to eat it while dodging a rain shower!
(I blipped the building behind a few weeks ago, you can see it here.)
My biggest chore was to go to the Apple Store to consider exchanging my new watch for a different band (I decided to keep what I have) and I finally ventured into the sales - and what did I buy? One cardigan full price! That's it!
