007 — Star Wars Shootout

Today's assignment from the book "Vision 365: Mastering the Everyday Practice of Seeing": photograph a subject with dominant negative space.

We are resting at home today as both Melinda and I have colds though Mel is having a rougher time than I. Elowyn is suffering too but from the current mental leap she is working her way through.

With the light outside already gone I grabbed two mini figures from the Star Wars lego sets Mel has bought me as small presents. Into the conservatory I head with baby in arms and shot a few frames of the figures on the lino floor while attempting to entertain baby on the rug next to me.

Photos imported onto the iPad, into vsco for saturation, clarity and shadows. Next into Snapseed for some vignette and slight lens blur to the already shallow depth of field.
