The Bethnal Green gasholders dominate the skyline above a local garage on the edge of Regents Canal in East London.
A gasholder, sometimes called a gasometer, is a large container in which natural gas or town gas is stored near atmospheric pressure at ambient temperatures. I have had a photographic love affair with these ones for nearly 20 years and this was an unusual capture as it was from a train travelling at slow speed, shot through a dirty window on my Google Pixel phone at sunset.
I have added some extra photographs taken earlier on this year at sunrise.
