Caldwell Exhibition- "Wilderness and the West"

I popped down to the opening of John Caldwell's exhibition at Day Fine Art Gallery in Blackheath this afternoon.

There were lots of local arty people there, including this gentleman whom I didn't recognize.

I'm not very arty myself, and deep down (apart from his undeniable talents) I'm not sure that John is himself. 
Maybe that impression stems from the time he told me about being a trackwork rider in his previous life. That's something I can relate to a bit better.

Whatever, he is a genuinely nice person and a very good artist.
