Rocking the Rock and Pillar Range

Alternative title: "I got spanked and ran away".

Rode up the Rock and Pillar range today from Middlemarch. From the point the main climb starts it's 1,000m of climbing in a single, relentless push. 53 switchbacks. 

At the top it was great. Apart from the gale force southerly straight from Antarctica and horizontal hail. So rather than continue the ride in that (seriously dangerous risk of exposure), I turned around and descended those same 1,000 m rather smartly.


Maybe there was a hint about the weather in this shot.
