Centenary garden
In December 2016 our village celebrated its centenary...old by our standards (young by European standards I know!!)
This garden was created to commemorate the 100 years, and was officially opened by our oldest resident ...100 year old Mary G (or Queen Mary as she is known!)
The ten indigenous aloes each represent 10 years of the village's
existence..
The plaque on the right reads.."'There's not a day when I don't think how privileged I am to live here""
True words indeed.
