Flower Friday-old

This little carnation in my thumbnail is nearly 45 years old....it is part of my wedding bouquet.
On the day we got married, there was a lavender orchid in the middle of the flowers...it detached and became a corsage for our reception.

My lovely friend Kathy caught the bouquet when I threw it, and after she became the wife of Al's artist brother Bill later that spring, she gave the bouquet back to me.

Nearly 45 years later, it gives me great joy to have it, and to remember those two 18 year old children who have made a life together.
