~And Raindrops~


I was a little forlorn this morning as it was overcast and rainy.
The chance of getting a decent photograph was not looking good.
Had a day of parties ahead of me that I was looking forward too!
That a little odd, I'd rather be with my camera than with people.
Although its a different lifestyle, it doesn't bother me in the least.
Sorry, I digress, now back to my day of photographic uncertainty.
Overcast skies and rain make for poor lighting and dull images.
I took some backup shots early in case nothing materialized later.
I lucked out about mid-afternoon, the sun broke through the clouds.
A very brief display, it just lasted long enough to get this photograph.
This is what I saw as the clouds parted over the Tortolita Mountains.
And because my camera work was short, I attended three parties!
Glad that's over though with, tomorrow I can rest and relax all day.
Oh yes, I almost forgot, I can take lots and lots of pictures, too! ;o)

I got to visit with some people I haven't seen sense last Christmas,
and spent some good time with those I get to see regularly.
I went to mid-night Christmas Mass, something I really enjoy,
and was acknowledged for my art work on the church walls
that is done on a regular basis through out the year.
What an honor that was, though I was quite nervous,
at the Mass I went to, there was probably a thousand in attendance.
Whew! I was sweating the proverbial bullets in church,
something I haven't done sense I was a miscreant! ;o))
